Join Us for the 2011 Dickinson County Road Race

Saturday, August 27, 2011 7:00 a.m.

Join us for the 1st annual Dickinson County Road Race! This is a family-friendly event for any age and experience of cyclist. All routes start and stop in Eisenhower Park in Abilene, Kansas. Detailed maps are available by calling 785-263-1550.
This event is a fundraiser benefiting youth programs sponsored by the Quality of Life Coalition. Helmets are required for all riders. Some roads are open to traffic, so please obey all traffic and safety rules. Restrooms are available at Eisenhower Park in Abilene.

The Bike Race Schedule

6:00-7:45 a.m. Check-In & Packet Pick Up at Eisenhower Park

Please check-in at least 15 minutes before your chosen event

7:00 a.m. 10, 25, 50-Mile Rides

7:15 a.m. Historical Bike Tour

8:00 a.m. Trikes ‘n Training Wheels

8:30 a.m. The Amazing Race

*Entry Fee must accompany Entry Form and be returned by August 18th.

Distance Rides
10 miles—Family-friendly race around Abilene.
25 miles—Abilene roads and some state highways (all paved).
50 miles—Abilene roads and state highways (all paved).
Trikes ‘n Training Wheels Race— A short track for children (up to 6 years) who need three or more wheels. All participants will receive a medal of participation.
The Amazing Race—A fun scavenger hunt in Eisenhower Park (For kids age 6-13).
Amazing Race prize donated by
Historical Bike Tour—Learn about the history of Abilene...on a bike! This guided tour will take you on an adventure to historical sites in Abilene. This leisurely bike ride is about 3 miles or 1 hour.
Entry includes chosen race participation & a t-shirt!

All ages are welcome, but riders under 9 MUST be accompanied by a parent or adult.
